Farm Finn is a hidden piece of paradise, nestled amongst the mountain peaks of the Talassemtane National Park in full view of and walking distance from the famous Blue Medina of Chefchaouen, Northern Morocco

Suggestions for adventurous travellers

This is a real working organic farm. We have dirt paths connecting the rooms and the gardens that pass along mountain terraces. This can mean that walkways are uneven and at times steep, which may prove challenging for people with mobility issues, something worth considering before booking. Guests are asked to take care when walking through our grounds, which you do at your own risk.

As an organic farm we live with nature… including insects and lizards! If you are allergic to wasps/bees/horseflies, etc, you should take this into consideration before booking. None of the lizards or reptiles you will find on Farm Finn are dangerous. If you come across anything you may find unusual, please take a step back and quietly admire another of nature’s wonders.

Farm Finn is an eco-friendly location and a great place to disconnect from your busy life. Here you will find neither TVs, nor DVD players, nor air conditioning, just gorgeous, inspirational nature and the time and space to relax your body, mind and soul!

Please bring appropriate shoes, something strong for outdoors and slippers for indoors, and expect rustic, yet comfortable countryside living.

At Farm Finn we constantly strive to make sure that services are in good working order, including energy, water supply, and the internet connection. However, managing these systems in the middle of the Moroccan countryside can be challenging at times.

Except for electricity, Farm Finn is off the grid, and bouncing the internet signal between Chefchaouen and the farm is quite a feat. We ask our guests to be patient in case water or internet problems arise and to notify the management promptly; rest assured we work very hard to fix any issue in a timely manner, and most are solved within minutes or hours.

  • There are inherent risks in countryside living and holidaying: Please remember, you are responsible for your own safety and the safety of your group.

Additional information

Minimum age requirements. As a working mountainside farm, Farm Finn has much to explore, some of which, such as our terraced walls, mountain steps and riverside paths, may be potentially hazardous to smaller children. Children over five years old are welcome, and all children should be accompanied around our grounds by their parents/guardians at all times.

Additional person surcharge. A 30-euro charge is made for each additional person over five years old staying in a room.

A minimum stay is for two (2) nights. Not only do we think you deserve at least two nights (we recommend you stay longer) to ensure that you benefit from the full calming effect of time at Farm Finn but, acknowledging that Morocco is a water scarce country and we are now in our fifth year of drought, this also helps us to economise on water usage, ensuring that we do not need to wash bed linen every day. We hope you will understand and help us to conserve this precious and increasingly rare resource.

Communal spaces. The living room in the main farm house, kitchen patios, roof and west facing terraces as well as the gardens, are all public spaces. Please enjoy these sensitively whilst respecting the privacy of others.

Smoking. If you smoke, we invite you to do so outside of the buildings, which are all non-smoking. Please be aware of the risk of bush fires, especially in summer and be sure to fully extinguish your cigarettes in the receptacles provided.

Water is a precious resource at Farm Finn and one we are eager that you help us preserve. Morocco is a water scarce country that has experienced drought these past five years. The climate emergency has visibly changed our seasons making it essential that we all take responsibility to use water as efficiently as possible. As such, please only flush toilets when necessary and economise on your shower and tap water usage where possible.

Drinking water comes straight from our well and is simply delicious. I’m sure you’ll be able to taste the difference.
