Organic Olive Oil
As in most of rural northern Morocco, there have always been olive trees in Loubar al Fuq. A mix of indigenous olive trees and those imported by the Spanish during their occupation of the region, contribute to the production of an intensely fresh and slightly spicy organic olive oil. Our trees are hand pruned in late winter and the fruits are hand-picked in late fall. The plants are fertilized with our own organic compost, amendments or vermi compost. Once picked, the olives are pressed and filtered within three days. In our food, you’ll find only the freshest organic olive oil from the past two years.
Home Made Preserves Teas, Juices And Breads
Wherever possible we make our own produce at Farm Finn. This includes jams, chutneys, pickles, juices, teas and breads, which are served at breakfast and dinner.
Home Made Breads. Our breads are home made and baked in our traditional earth-built oven. Wherever possible we also use our own organic flour, frequently mixing with diverse ingredients such as olives, raisins or nuts, great to dip in our olive oil or spread with seasonal home-made fruit jams.
Drinking Water
Our drinking water is sourced either from our own riverside well or from the village spring. Both are safe, healthy and wonderfully tasty sources of fresh drinking water. Have a glass and taste the difference.
Organic eggs and goat’s milk
We try to produce our own organic eggs and goat’s milk for our guests. Obviously actual production is not just in our hands! However there are a few tricks used locally and it is rumoured that chickens produce more eggs if fed kif seed. They certainly seem to like the taste! As such, we try our best to collect and serve our own organic eggs, but can buy locally if necessary.
Goat’s cheese. Goat’s cheese is provided from our local cooperative which collects goat’s milk daily from producers in the village and surrounding area.
